An album of colour and black & white photographs of the iconic Class 55 'Deltic' locomotives operating on trans-Pennine routes during the 1970s and 1980s.
In 1979, Deltics started operating on cross-country services between Newcastle and Liverpool, via Huddersfield and Manchester Victoria and these workings proved popular with enthusiasts.
