The London Feltham Tram (Pen & Sword)

Back Order

An illustrated history of the ‘Feltham’ tram; one of the most important tram types ever built in Britain. Designed as a result of co-operation between two of London’s most prominent tram operators during the 1920s, the first vehicles entered service in the early 1930s. Following the closure of the tram systems in London, the vehicles moved north to Leeds where they saw service up until the closure of the Leeds system in 1959. This book looks at the design, construction and working lives of these trams, including the innovations they brought to future tramway vehicles. Well illustrated throughout with black & white photographs. Hardback. 148 pages.
