Lost Tramways of England: Leeds West (Graffeg)

Back Order

A superb album of black & white photos of trams in Leeds city centre and the western half of the city from the start of electric trams until the final years of the city’s tram network in the late 1950s.

One horse tram and one steam tram photo are also included. At the front there is a short history of the Leeds tramway system from the horse and steam tram era to the 1930s, covering the takeover by Leeds Corporation in 1894, the short-lived dual gauge through service to Bradford, the also short-lived Leeds trolleybus system, expansion of the tram network in the 1910s and 1920s, and the pre-war closures.

About 50 black & white photos. 64 pages. Hardback.
