This book, published in support of the Moseley Railway Trust, contains a series of colour photographs taken at the trust’s events held between 2014 and 2018.
During World War 1, vast mileages of 2’0” light railways were laid by both sides to serve troops in the trenches of northern France and Belgium. After the war, much of the equipment found its way into industrial use, with some later finding its way into preservation. To coincide with the 100 year anniversary of World War 1, the Moseley Railway Trust held three events to showcase its collection at the Apedale Valley Light Railway between 2014 and 2018.
Tracks to the Trenches contains a selection of colour photographs taken at the Apedale Valley Light Railway during these events, covering a variety of locomotive and rolling stock types. Each photograph is accompanied by an extensive caption providing some detail about the vehicles illustrated. 80 pages.
