A collection of good quality black & white photographs illustrating the former Mjidland Railway main line through the Peak District. The book is presented in the form of a journey from Buxton to Ambergate with an interlude at Chinley. The photos are mainly taken in the 1950s and 1960s but some examples from the 1930s are also included.

The Peak Line: A Pictorial Journey was first published in 1994. This volume is a slightly revised and corrected edition with the addition of a single page of images depicting the line in 2019. Most of the 159 illustrations are photographs, all of which are accompanied by extended captions, with some gradient profiles and maps also provided. 88 pages.
