The Lane End Plateway (Oakwood)

Back Order

An illustrated history of the Lane End Plateway, an early horse drawn railway serving the Staffordshire potteries. The line was constructed in the early 1800s to carry wagons to and from the potteries in the area. The plateway continued to operate until the 1880s when it was superseded by railways. This book traces the history of the plateway and is illustrated with archive photographs illustrating the route. 84 pages.
