A collection of colour and black & white photographs taken along the Midland & South Western Junction railway, an independent cross-country line which ran north–south through the south of England. This volume covers the period from the opening of the line, through the decline in traffic in the late 1950s, to its closure as a through route in 1961. Photographs illustrate the line and the trains which used it. Captions accompany each photograph and an introduction to the line is also included. 120 pages.
