Cromford & High Peak by Rail and Trail (Middleton)

Back Order

An album of black & white photographs illustrating the route between Cromford and Buxton. Photographs show the line during its years of British Railways operation, as well as since part of the line was closed in the 1960s. The section from Cromford to Matlock is today still part of the national rail network, whilst Matlock-Rowsley is operated by heritage line, Peak Rail and the section beyond is closed to traffic, much of it now used as the popular Monsal Trail for walkers and cyclists. Captions accompany each photograph and maps of key locations are also included. 96 pages.
