A full colour album of previously unpublished photographs taken by the late Roy E Vincent. Born in east London, from school he went to work for the LNER in London as a clerk, later working in the north east and, prior to his retirement in 1975, employed as an Establishment Officer at York’s railway headquarters. As a railwayman he was able to access railway property, allowing him to take photographs at locations otherwise inaccessible to other railway enthusiasts. Kevin Robinson has compiled a fascinating selection of Roy’s photographs and has created extended captions from various sources, including reference to Roy’s original notation. Hardback. 208 pages.
